Dr. Magda Mihaela Luca is a faculty member at the “Victor Babeș” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timișoara, within the Faculty of Dental Medicine, Department of Pediatric Dentistry. With over two decades of academic experience, her professional career includes positions as teaching assistant, assistant lecturer, senior lecturer, and currently associate professor. She holds a PhD in Dental Medicine and is also a senior specialist in Pediatric Dentistry as well as in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, with extensive clinical activity in outpatient specialty care.
Her scientific activity is both rich and valuable: she is the author or co-author of 22 ISI-indexed articles, 40 BDI-indexed articles, as well as numerous papers presented at international congresses in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics. She has received important research awards, including distinctions at international congresses for topics such as the management of early carious lesions, the use of skeletal anchorage, and 3D imaging applications in orthodontics.
In addition, she is a member of the Timiș County College of Dentists, involved in academic quality committees and university administrative activities. Her organizational skills, experience in educational quality management, and participation in numerous international training programs reflect a well-rounded professional profile oriented toward excellence. She also practices privately at the Estheti X Dental clinic.
Through her entire academic, clinical, research, and professional training activity, Dr. Magda-Mihaela Luca stands out as one of the specialists who has made significant contributions to the development of pediatric dentistry and modern orthodontics in Romania, being appreciated for her professionalism, scientific rigor, and dedication to medical education.
