
Dr. Eduard Paraschivescu graduated from the “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Faculty of Dentistry. He chose to pursue his residency training at one of the best centers in the country, the Timisoara Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic.
The year 2000 was one of the most important in his professional life, as he had the opportunity to meet Prof. Dr. Dr. Med. Dr. h.c. mult. Hermann Sailer, one of the world’s leading maxillofacial and plastic surgeons. With his invaluable guidance, Dr. Paraschivescu was able to participate in the ICLPF, marking the beginning of a long collaboration between Prof. Sailer and Dr. Paraschivescu. This partnership reached its peak in 2005, with five months of specialized training in the surgical treatment of cleft lip and palate at one of the world’s leading cleft centers, the SR Craniofacial Institute in Hyderabad, India.
The special relationship between Dr. Paraschivescu and Prof. Reddy was the reason Dr. Paraschivescu has traveled to India an additional 22 times to date, each time for a month, to further complete and update his training and to work alongside his Indian colleagues.
The year 2009 marked another recognition of Dr. Paraschivescu’s skills and professionalism, through a humanitarian mission organized by Prof. Sailer in Niger, Africa, aimed at establishing a center for facial malformations in the country’s capital, Niamey.
His work in the challenging field of facial malformations continues in Timisoara, at the Pediatric Hospital, Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic, and Boia Clinic. He had the opportunity to be involved in head and neck cancer treatment even during the early years of his training.
His professional portfolio also includes organizing conferences, workshops, courses, and scientific events in Timisoara and Arad, covering topics in the field of maxillofacial surgery. He is the co-author of several scientific papers published in national and international journals.
