Prof. Univ. Abilitat Dr. Atena Gălușcan (joi, aprilie)

Prof. Univ. Habil. Dr. Atena Gălușcan is a senior specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, as well as in General Dentistry, with an academic career spanning over three decades at the “Victor Babeș” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timișoara. She currently coordinates the Clinic of Preventive, Community Dentistry and Oral Health within the Faculty of Dental Medicine.
Her professional activity is distinguished by significant contributions to the development of preventive dentistry in Romania, being one of the pioneers of this field. Her research focuses on enamel therapy, prevention and reduction of risk factors in carious pathology, periodontal diseases and oral cancer, as well as early diagnosis and minimally invasive approaches in dentistry. The results of her scientific work are reflected in over 80 articles published in prestigious international journals indexed in ISI and PubMed.
In addition to her clinical and academic work, Prof. Atena Gălușcan is actively involved in educational and social projects, promoting oral health in vulnerable communities and supporting the training of students in the spirit of professional responsibility and humanitarian mission.
