Prof. Univ. Dr. Camelia Szuhanek is a specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. She received her DDS, MSc and PhD degrees from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Victor Babes" Timisoara, Romania. She is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Orthodontics, Faculty of Dental Medicine, where she teaches orthodontics to 5th-year dental students, and since 2017 she has been the coordinator of the orthodontic postgraduate residency program.
Prof. Univ. Dr. Szuhanek is the author and coauthor of over 300 scientific articles in the field of orthodontics, 4 books, and the director of two research grants. She is a member of the European Orthodontic Society (EOS), the World Federation of Orthodontics (WFO) and the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO).
She maintains a private practice limited to orthodontics in Timisoara and is a certified Incognito, Invisalign and Clear Aligner orthodontist. She completed the FACE - Functional and Cosmetic Excellence advanced orthodontic program (2015-2017). Her main research interests include biomechanics, digital orthodontics, aligners, multidisciplinary orthodontic-orthognathic treatment and skeletal anchorage.
