Dr. Darian Rusu is a University Professor of Periodontology at the Victor Babeș University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timișoara, where he carries out complex teaching, clinical, and research activities, being actively involved in the training of students and resident doctors in the specialty of Periodontology.
His academic career has progressed gradually, from university preparator and teaching assistant to lecturer and university professor, with a consistent contribution to the coordination of clinical internships, undergraduate theses, and the delivery of postgraduate courses in periodontology.
He supervises residents and is a member of national committees for obtaining specialist and primary physician titles.
He holds a PhD in Dental Medicine, with extensive scientific activity, materialized through numerous articles published in ISI and BDI journals, specialized book chapters and volumes, as well as participation in national and international research projects. He is also the author and co-author of reference works in the field of periodontology and endo-periodontal lesions.
Professionally and academically, he is actively involved in organizing international scientific events, serving as Executive Director of the International Summer Schools of Periodontology and Endodontics in Romania. His activity is further complemented by editorial involvement and the role of peer reviewer for prestigious international scientific journals.
Through his extensive clinical experience, academic expertise, and recognized scientific contribution, Dr. Darian Rusu is one of the prominent figures of contemporary Romanian periodontology.
