Prof. Univ. Dr. Emanuel Bratu (vineri, 3 aprilie)

Prof. Dr. Emanuel Bratu graduated from the Faculty of Dental Medicine in 1994 at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Victor Babeș” in Timișoara.
After completing a fellowship at the State Clinic in Austria in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery during 1994–1995, he began his residency at the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic in Timișoara.
In 2000, he designed one of the first Romanian dental implant systems, Implantim, together with ORVIT Bologna, Italy.
Since 2008, he has been the head of the Implant Restorations Department at the Faculty of Dental Medicine in Timișoara.
Since 2024, he serves as Vice Dean of the Faculty of Dental Medicine at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timișoara, Romania.
For over 25 years, he has taught Oral Implantology at various congresses and courses and has trained hundreds of dentists in implantology, implant prosthetics, and bone reconstruction techniques.
He has published over 60 scientific articles, several books, and delivered more than 100 national and international lectures.
He is a speaker for Bredent Medical, Straumann, Zimmer Biomet, and MIS.
Since 2007, he has owned Dentalexperts Clinic in Timișoara, Romania, focusing on implant surgery and implant prosthetics.
Prof. Bratu is a board-certified diplomat of ICOI, a member of DGOI and DGZI, and Vice President of the Romanian Society of Oral Implantology and Biomaterials.
His main research areas focus on implant design, drilling protocols, and short and ultra-short implants.
