Prof. Univ. Dr. Rusu Laura-Cristina, DMD, PhD, is a full-time professor, Head of the Oral Pathology Department at "Victor Babes" University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timisoara, a name that reflects more than two decades of passion for medicine, education, and research.
In year 2017 - she obtained the degree of doctor habilitatus and was confirmed as PhD coordinator in the field of dental medicine.As a university professor, researcher, mentor, and practicing dentist, she contributes every day to the advancement of modern dentistry, remaining a benchmark of professionalism and integrity.
She is a member of several dedicated associations like Romanian Society of Lasers in Dentistry (SRLS), Swiss Society of Biomaterials (SSB), IADR, IEEE, Romanian Society of Biomaterials (SRB) and SPIE. She has been also involved in the organisation committee for several scientific events in 2015-2019 ("Zilele Stomatologice Banatene" Conference).In her practice, she continues to combine science with empathy, offering patients safety, quality, and confidence.
The disemination of the her research was accomplished through 12 published books as author and co-author, four of them being in a prestigious international publishing house and also through the participation at 88 congresses and symposiums.
Her scientific activity is proven in a total number of over 170 papers (from which 146 indexed ISI Web of Science) and four patents. According to Web of Science, her Hirsch index is 17.
